the Significance of the Insignificant

God seems to like doing amazing things through the unlikely and overlooked.  When God's people were expecting a conquering King to triumphantly arrive as Messiah and set them free . . . God sent His Son to be born as a helpless baby in incredibly humble conditions in the "little town of Bethlehem."
It's easy for us to sometimes feel unimportant in the grand scheme of things.  When you find yourself feeling insignificant and overlooked, be reminded that God works in mysterious ways that are far above our understanding.  Mary & Joseph were simple, regular people who were willing to let God use them to fulfill His purposes.  Just try to imagine the cool things that God may be able to do through you . . . if your willing.  Why not ask God to use you to share His love with someone during this Christmas season?  What may seem to be a simple, insignificant act of kindness can become truly powerful, significant and life-changing in the hands of God.
